President Donald Trump was just completely vindicated. Members of Congress are stunned — they don’t know what to make of this breaking news, especially liberal Democrats.
At the direction of Trump, the IRS has “proposed a rule … that would allow employers to craft health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) to subsidize” their employees’ healthcare services.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) praised including HRAs “in the tax code as eligible medical expenses under employer-provided health reimbursement arrangements” as an important step.
Paul, who has fought for years for healthcare freedom and market-based reforms — especially due to the disastrous Obamacare program — plans to work with Trump “to build on” this proposal.
Since Congress cannot seem to fully repeal and replace Obamacare, given we currently have divided government, the Trump administration has found legal ways to push some ideas forward anyway.
Americans have been provided relief from Obamacare’s individual mandate and from federal regulations that have prevented people from creating more individualized plans for themselves.
