A new Trafalgar Group poll has President Donald Trump leading Democrat nominee Joe Biden by one point in Wisconsin, the same result as a June poll by the same group.
While some consider the Trafalgar Group to be a right-leaning polling outfit, the group’s polling in 2016 accurately showed Republican support for Trump in Pennsylvania and Michigan, which predicted his Electoral College victory.
The poll was done before rioting broke out in Kenosha, Wisconsin over the shooting of an armed and wanted man, Jacob Blake, by police there.
Wisconsin also voted for Trump by narrow margins in 2016, the first time since Ronald Reagan in 1984 that the state had voted for a Republican for president.
The riots in Kenosha are not likely to help Joe Biden, who is perceived as being soft on law and order compared to Trump.
