Republican Governor of Vermont Phil Scott said Thursday that he believed President Donald Trump abused his power and should not be in office.
Scott called Trump’s impeachment acquittal inevitable and said, “If they’d taken more testimony, maybe they’d have had more information and maybe other senators would have acted appropriately.”
Scott also said that he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 and never thought he should be in office to begin with, however.
I’m not sure why anyone cares what an admitted never-Trumper thinks about impeachment, any more than they cared about Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), a never-Trumper turned hypocrite, voting to impeach Trump.
Of course, the liberal press wants to praise and trumpet people like Scott–but the media will turn against them again as soon as it’s convenient to do so.
