President Donald Trump just signed the official order. Illegal immigrants are in total shock and liberal Democrats are furious. Trump has done it.
Declaring that “the radical left is trying to erase the existence of this concept and conceal the number of illegal aliens in our country,” Trump has taken action to prevent illegal immigrants from being counted when voting districts are redrawn.
“There used to be a time when you could proudly declare, ‘I am a citizen of the United States,'” he said beforehand, and his latest executive order is to make clear that only U.S. citizens should be considered under this process.
The redrawing of congressional districts will take place following the 2020 census, and it is crucial that illegal immigrants are separated from the official count — otherwise Democrats will have accomplished one of their goals.
Counting illegal immigrants when redrawing congressional districts can be viewed as a form of de facto citizenship. After all, they are not supposed to be voting anyway — and including them in the count would skew numbers dramatically.
“My Administration will not support giving congressional representation to aliens who enter or remain in the country unlawfully,” said Trump. This is another reason why he will be re-elected by a landslide in November.
