The leftist media unleashed the latest assault on President Donald Trump ahead of the weekend, this time centered on an anonymously-sourced Atlantic article that claimed that the president had made disparaging remarks about fallen U.S. soldiers.
President Trump has, of course, denied having done so and, as part of his efforts to push back against this latest “hoax,” compared it to prior hoaxes like the Russian collusion narrative and the “dirty dossier” of unfounded allegations put forward against him in the 2016 election, Breitbart reported.
In a pair of tweets posted on Saturday, the president listed off some of his accomplishments regarding the military and wondered how a “slimeball reporter, maybe working with disgruntled people,” could get away with making up bogus allegations against him.
“This reminds me of the Dirty Dossier, which was pushed hard by John McCain, & then with a thud turned out to be a total fraud,” he tweeted, referencing his old nemesis in the GOP establishment, the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who it has since been revealed played a role in passing the dossier around Washington D.C. prior to it being made public.
“So many other scams also. The Radical Far Left is VICIOUS, they will do or say anything to win. But they won’t, we will WIN, & have four great years!” Trump reminded his supporters.
