A draft letter leaked to Fox News host Tucker Carlson said in part, “Despite [its] shortcomings, I believe that the W.H.O. still has tremendous potential, and want to see the W.H.O live up to this potential, particularly now during this global crisis.”
The letter also called for substantial reforms to WHO, which Trump has blamed in part for China’s failure to contain the virus in China. For right now, however, U.S. funding to WHO remains completely frozen.
