The Democrats are stunned. They thought the 2020 election was going to be an easy win, but President Trump pulled a reversal on their plan. This changes 2020.
Democrats believed their impeachment circus was hurting Trump, however, a new poll proves that it’s quite the opposite. Trump is now trailing former Vice President Joe Biden by only four percentage points.
An ABC News-Langer Research Associates poll, which was released on Monday, currently shows Biden with 50 percent support and Trump with 46 percent support. There is a margin of error of 3.5 points.
This means it is possible that Biden could only be leading Trump by half a point. Of course, the margin of error works in both directions, but it is telling that we’re seeing a tightening of the polls already.
As The Hill noted, “In a previous ABC poll, Biden led the president by nearly 20 percentage points, 56 percent to 39.” Democrats must be alternating between head-scratching and panicking at this point.
Additionally, the same poll revealed that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) leads Trump by two percentage points and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is tied with the president.
