President Trump is looking to remove the threats that rioters pose in Democrat-controlled cities. Tactical border patrol agents have been sent into Seattle, Washington, to deal with the civil unrest.
Federal agents have been working in Portland for most of July and this new effort in Seattle may be similar although on a smaller scale.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, there will be fewer agents sent to Seattle as the unrest has not been as severe.
DHS Spokesperson Alexei Woltornist said, “There is no large-scale deployment of personnel to Seattle at this time. As threats warrant, any large-scale use of law enforcement assets will involve close coordination with local law enforcement.”
Democrat cities like Portland and Seattle have seen some of the worst of the unrest that plagued the nation since the death of George Floyd.
The unwillingness of local authorities to crack down on rioters and other violent protestors has necessitated a federal response. Until cities are willing to protect law and order, Trump’s federal agents will be there.
