President Donald Trump tweeted Thursday about new information uncovered about the FBI’s case against Michael Flynn, calling it a “scam” as other Republicans urged him to pardon the former National Security Adviser.
New documents declassified and released by the Justice Department show that FBI agents deliberately tried to entrap Flynn into lying to them and that their efforts had little to do with any suspected Russia ties.

“What happened to General Michael Flynn, a war hero, should never be allowed to happen to a citizen of the United States again!” Trump tweeted, while also calling former FBI Director James Comey a “dirty cop.”
Trump also went after CNN because they didn’t even report the new information but tried to ignore it because they had persecuted Flynn repeatedly and would now have to admit that they were wrong.
