President Donald Trump has kept his promise. A new executive order forces major change, and he is just getting started. This is another reason why Americans must re-elect him in November.
“We believe jobs must be offered to American workers first,” announced Trump while signing an executive order to reform the use of the H-1B visa program that incentivizes hiring non-citizens.
Ultimately, Trump’s action would help to prevent a form of outsourcing that occurs in government agencies and often leaves American workers without a job. Trump’s move is a huge step forward.
“It would be unfair for Federal employers to replace perfectly qualified Americans with workers from other countries,” said a White House press release shortly before Trump signed the order.
This is an especially welcome move as the United States works to recover from the economic downturn that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. It will help get more Americans back to work.
Of course, anti-Trump politicians are probably complaining on CNN and MSNBC right now that Trump’s action is cruel to H-1B holders — proving Democrats don’t care about American workers at all.
