An impeachment notice about President Donald Trump just shocked the White House. Millions of people across the nation are stunned — no one expected this move less than 42 days before the Novembert election.
During an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) implied that impeaching President Trump again in order to prevent his Supreme Court nominee from confirmation is on the table.
Stephanopoulos set up the scenario that “if they try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session that you and the House can move to impeach President Trump … as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination.”
“Well, we have our options,” Pelosi responded. “We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now, but the fact is we have a big challenge in our country.”
Pelosi prattled on for a few more moments before Stephanopoulos asked for clarification in an attempt to lock her down on specifics, and Pelosi could have pivoted — but she stuck to her lines as a career politician always does.
“Yeah, we have a responsibility,” Pelosi said, promising “to use every arrow in our quiver.” There you have it, folks. If the Senate majority attempts to confirm Trump’s nominee right before January, impeachment hasn’t been ruled out. This is insanity.
