The news just dropped about another attempt to impeach President Donald Trump. It could be happening and Democrats are frothing at the mouth. This is unbelievable.
“Donald is a mass murderer,” tweeted Hollywood director Judd Apatow. “He has chosen to misinform people to help him politically which is killing tens of thousands more people” and the president “should be impeached for murder.”
Apatow, who has directed crass, profane movies such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, was taking serious issue with a recent comment from President Donald Trump at a campaign rally about the coronavirus.
“The virus affects virtually nobody,” said Trump to thousands of supporters. “It’s an amazing thing.” The quote was tweeted by The Daily Beast’s Sam Stein — along with a video — who called Trump’s remark “damaging” and “not true.”
Of course, neither Apatow or Stein presented the full context, even though it was in the very video they both highlighted. “Now we know it,” said Trump. “It affects elderly people, elderly people with heart problems and other problems.”
The president’s point is that while COVID-19 is potentially deadly, the statistics point to the virus affecting elderly people the most — particularly when it comes to the mortality rate. Otherwise, a vast majority of people who contract the virus recover from it.
