President Donald Trump just gave Joe Biden some bad news and the White House is cheering. The former Vice President — who thought he was going to easily win the election in November — has come face-to-face with political reality. This is a stunning development.
In a poll released by Change Research/CNBC, Trump and Biden are virtually tied in the key battleground states of Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin — all states Trump won in 2016. And he appears to be surging in the same states now.
“Biden still leads Trump narrowly in each of the six key battleground states, but in four of those states (Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania), Biden’s lead appears to be within the assumed margin of error,” reported Breitbart News about the poll results.
“In Arizona, Biden leads Trump by two points: 47 percent to 45 percent,” continued Breitbart. The other results are quite telling as well, with Biden only leading Trump by two points in Pennsylvania and by three points in Florida and North Carolina. This is not where Biden wants to be.
By this point, Biden and the Democrats expected to be blowing Trump away — and they have certainly done everything possible to take advantage of the COVID-19 crisis for their political agenda. But it doesn’t seem to be working quite as they had hoped.
Biden isn’t an interesting candidate and his cognitive abilities have dropped steadily over the past year. Trump, on the other hand, is on his way back up because he has focused on pulling our economy out of an unexpected slump and it’s working. Democrats can’t compete with him.
