President Donald Trump is getting record numbers of votes in recent primary elections, even though he is virtually unopposed on the ballot.
So far, Trump has amassed more than twice as many primary votes as former President Barack Obama did in his re-election bid in 2012.
Even with many primaries left to go, and with coronavirus exposure risks for those who do go out to vote, Trump has surpassed the previous record for re-election primary votes by over four million votes.
Bill Clinton was the previous record-holder.
