President Donald Trump said that MSNBC’s Chuck Todd should be fired for presenting deceptively edited information on “Meet the Press” on Sunday.
Todd edited a CBS clip of Attorney General William Barr that made it seem like he was saying one thing when he was actually saying the opposite.
When Katherine Herridge asked Barr how he thought history would judge the decision to drop the case against Michael Flynn, he said, “Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who’s writing the history.”
Todd left out Barr’s next two sentences, however: “I think a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.”
“He should be FIRED by Concast. If done by a Republican, would be “prosecuted”, Trump tweeted after the segment aired.
