President Donald Trump signed an executive order Sunday to lower prescription drug prices for seniors and those on Medicare, he announced on Twitter.
The purpose of the order is to give Americans “the same low price Big Pharma gives to other countries.”
“The days of global freeriding at America’s expense are over…”
“…and prices are coming down FAST! Also just ended all rebates to middlemen, further reducing prices,” he said in a series of tweets.
The details of the order were not immediately available but are expected to be explained over the next few days.
