Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) is under fire once again for trying to be helpful to her constituents.
This time, Whitmer urged people to be supportive of small businesses in the state, which she has had under lockdown orders for months now.
Once again, however, she didn’t follow her own directive: she used a Wisconsin direct mail company to print and deliver the flyers for the small business campaign.
A spokesperson called it a “vendor error” and insisted that Whitmer “has always worked closely with union- and Michigan-based printers.”
Records show, however, that Whitmer has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to Wisconsin-based direct mail company Run the World over an extended period of time, and that her campaign is listed as a client on Run the World’s website.
