A sworn enemy of President Donald Trump’s just went down. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is on fire — she didn’t hold back and now there is nothing left of this two-timing crook.
“Michael Cohen is a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer, who lied to Congress,” said McEnany in a statement to the press. “He has lost all credibility, and it’s unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit off of lies.”
McEnany was responding to content from Cohen’s new book, Disloyal, which drops this week — conveniently less than 55 days before the November election. In his book, Cohen reportedly claims that Trump has a low view of evangelicals.
Back during the 2016 election, evangelical leaders met Trump and “laid hands on him in prayer,” according to the Washington Examiner. Cohen alleges that after the meeting Trump asked, “Can you believe people believe that bullsh**?”
Considering that Trump’s support is strong with evangelical voters, this could certainly be a problem — if it were actually true. But McEnany makes a solid point: Cohen is a dirty (and now convicted) lawyer who can’t be trusted to tell the truth.
Ultimately, Trump and Cohen had a falling out and this is how Cohen is trying to get payback: by releasing an anti-Trump book less than two months before the election in order to hurt Trump’s re-election chances. Cohen’s pact with the Democrats isn’t going to work.
