New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), who spent the entirety of the pandemic criticizing former President Trump over his response to Covid-19, could find himself in court following new evidence of extreme corruption and negligence of Cuomo.
A report from New York Attorney General Letitia James found that the number of nursing home patients who had died from Covid-19 had been undercounted by as much as 50%.
Last year, Cuomo ordered New York’s nursing homes to accept patients with Covid-19, kicking off a spree of infections that killed at least 12,743 elderly New Yorkers.
Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said, “Finally, today is the first step towards justice. We need to get answers and issue subpoenas immediately against the governor, the commissioner of health in New York State, Dr. Zucker, and his senior staff because the corruption is the cover-up. They knew this number, and yet they refused to be transparent with New Yorkers. But what was most heartless is [not] being more transparent with those that have lost loved ones.”
Governor Cuomo made a decision that killed thousands of his most vulnerable constituents and then proceeded to cover it up even while propping up the narrative that Trump was directly responsible for the hundreds of thousands who died from coronavirus.
New Yorkers deserve answers, and Cuomo must answer in court as to what truly happened. From what we know, Cuomo looks to be responsible for thousands of deaths, and he must answer for that.
