One of former President Donald Trump’s enemies just finally got what she deserved — it could be over for her. Voters will have their say very soon.
Appearing on Fox News, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel accused Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) of covering up COVID-related nursing home deaths.
“She’s not being forthcoming,” said McDaniel. “So, you can’t get the nursing home data out of Michigan. “We don’t have FOIA laws that allow that. And she has covered up everything with NDAs, with letting people go.”
McDaniel also pointed to Whitmer’s hypocrisy. For example, Whitmer took “a private plane” to see an ailing family member in Florida, but she tried to restrict Michiganders from seeing their relatives — including those dying in the hospital.
Then, even more recently, Whitmer was caught red-handed at a restaurant sitting with 12 people, even though her own rules only allowed six people per table. It is astounding, really.
As McDaniel said, “It really is shameful and it shows why she’s going to have a tough re-election next year.” Already, former U.S. Senate candidate John James (R) is weighing a run for governor.
