Liz Cheney was trying to make a point that Donald Trump is a heartless bigot who is more concerned about himself than the welfare of this country.
She doesn’t seem to understand that if she has to lie to make her point, then her point probably isn’t valid.
Here’s what she said:
“Donald Trump tweeted, but he did not condemn the attack. Instead, he justified it. ‘These are the things and events that happen,’ he said, ‘when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously and viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly and unfairly treated for so long.’”
And then she stopped talking.
That was EXTREMELY calculated, as the final sentences of the tweeting she was referring to completed the story.
“go home with love and in peace.”
Trump didn’t want America to destroy itself.
To imply that he did by taking his statements out of context is simply disgusting.
But hey, that’s Liz Cheney for you.
