President Donald Trump just ended speculation about the rumored Democrat plan to “pack” the supreme court.
Multiple 2020 Democrat frontrunners have alluded to packing the Supreme Court with Democrat judges. The proposal would add seats to the Supreme Court in order to build a liberal-leaning majority.
Of the nine judges currently on the Supreme Court, five are identified as Republican. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s health is rapidly declining, and Democrats are beginning to panic about the prospect of Trump to appointing Republican judge to replace her.
Candidates Kamala Harris, Beto O’Rourke, and Elizabeth Warren have all come out in support of the movement to pack the court, egged on by vocal Trump enemy Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Trump responded to the rumors by dismissing the notion. Trump said that “it will never happen.” Trump is confident that he’ll win the 2020 election and retain control of any Supreme Court appointments or decisions for another term.
Democrats are reeling from recent victories awarded to President Trump by the Supreme Court. Trump claimed that “the only reason is that [Democrats] are doing that is they want to try and catch up” because they can’t win at the polls.
