President Trump has successfully brokered a deal that will lower US military spending in South Korea. Currently, there are 28,500 American troops stationed in South Korea.
Trump has been working towards cutting unnecessary military spending. He just signed the deal with South Korea, increasing Seoul’s contribution to military spending to $924 million in U.S. dollars.
According to Breitbart, “President Trump stated last week that he has no short-term plans to withdraw U.S. troops from South Korea but left the possibility open for the future.”
South Korean officials are desperate to retain US support. Trump has successfully affirmed the alliance, while still requiring that Seoul begins to pay their fair share.
