President Trump just deployed fighter jets. This is a developing situation, but tensions are high and we could be heading for a major conflict. Americans need to get ready.
In response to Iranian aggression, the U.S. Air Force has announced that F-22s were “deployed to Qatar for the first time in order to defend American forces and interests in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.”
Recently, Iran shot down an unmanned U.S. drone worth millions of dollars and has also been implicated in an oil tanker attack in the Strait of Hormuz, a key path for commerce from the Persian Gulf to the open ocean.
Until now, Trump has wisely chosen to be patient and let Iran destroy itself with petty war games intended to intimate America and her allies. But this F-22 deployment is showing that the game is about to change.
Iran will now have to deal with an even stronger American presence near its borders, and we will respond with overwhelming force should radical Iranian leaders make any moves.
While Trump isn’t seeking open war, he has boldly warned that should Iran continue down their path it will result in “obliteration like you’ve never seen before.”
