A ‘death announcement’ concerning President Donald Trump just rocked the nation. Republicans are completely stunned by the shocking news.
“Unless Republicans have a death wish, and it is also the right thing to do, they must approve the $2000 payments ASAP,” wrote Trump on Twitter. “$600 IS NOT ENOUGH!”
Trump also included a request to “get rid of Section 230 – Don’t let Big Tech steal our Country, and don’t let the Democrats steal the Presidential Election. Get tough!”
Section 230, of course, is a section of the Communications Decency Act that carved out special privileges for social media — including protection from being effectively sued. Trump wants this removed as soon as possible.
His first priority, however, is getting larger direct payments to Americans as part of the COVID-19 relief package. His proposal would allow for $2,0000 per person or $4,000 per married couple, and dependents could also be claimed.
The “death wish” he is talking about is a political one. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) blocking the increased payments could have a devastating effect — especially on the upcoming Senate runoff in Georgia.
