President Donald Trump was just blocked by one of his enemies. The White House is completely stunned by this turn of events. Liberal Democrats have gone too far and they will pay at the ballot box in November.
“I am not going to send our men and women in uniform of a very proud National Guard to Washington for a photo-op,” said Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D), refusing a request from President Trump.
The Trump administration had requested that Gov. Northam “send his state’s National Guard to help quell heated protesters and riots in Washington, D.C.,” reported Breitbart News.
Apparently, helping to restore law and order in our nation’s capital wasn’t a worthy endeavor to Northam — even though it is an acceptable function of the National Guard, Northam would rather play politics.
An election is just around the corner, and Northam couldn’t bear to be seen actually responding favorably to a request from Trump. Virginia’s governor just couldn’t bring himself to do what is right for our country.
In stark contrast, Trump declared that it is his “first and highest duty as president … to defend our great country and the American people.” He has been leading through one crisis after another with grit and resolve.
