One of President Donald Trump’s strongest allies is stepping down and it is happening very soon. His time with the Trump administration is coming to an end — people are completely stunned by this move.
Richard Grenell, who briefly served as acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI), will not return to his previous role as U.S. ambassador to Germany — a position he had held since September 2017 before serving as DNI.
Now that Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to fill the role, Grenell will be transitioning out of it. He also informed the White House himself that he did not wish to resume his ambassadorship.
Given the nature of Grenell’s announcement, it sounds likely that he won’t take over another role in the Trump administration, even though he has proven his toughness and tenacity dealing with liberal Democrats.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who serves as the House Intelligence Committee chairman, found out quickly that Grenell wouldn’t give in to his political pressure. That’s why Grenell moved forward with declassifying crucial information.
In spite of Schiff’s ridiculous claims that the action was “corrupt,” Grenell said that the “public deserves to see” information related to the “unmasking” of Michael Flynn and the subsequent push to destroy his career.
