Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr. and a top fundraiser for the campaign, tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.
Her positive test comes after she traveled with Trump Jr. to South Dakota for an Independence Day event at Mt. Rushmore. President Trump and first lady Melania Trump both traveled to the same event.
Luckily Trump Jr. has tested negative and Guilfoyle did not travel on Air Force One. Neither of them had contact with the President.
The protections around the president and the vice president are robust and have kept them safe.
At least two others around the White House and the Trump family have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Vice President Mike Pence’s spokeswoman, Katie Miller, was diagnosed with coronavirus and recovered in May.
President Trump’s personal valet also tested positive but thanks to rigorous testing and a preventative course of hydroxychloroquine, the President has remained healthy. We wish Guilfoyle a safe and fast recovery.
