First Lady Melania Trump is brokenhearted. Some tragic news has come out about her youngest son, Barron. Melania and President Donald Trump are extremely concerned. Please pray for his safety.
John Henson, a host for the Food Network, tweeted the following on Father’s Day: “I hope Barron gets to spend today with whoever his daddy is.” This prompted a swift rebuke from Melania via Stephanie Grisham, her spokeswoman.
“Sadly we continue to see inappropriate and insensitive comments about the President’s son,” said Grisham. “As with every other administration, a minor child should be off-limits and allowed to grow up with no judgment or hate from strangers and the media.”
As all anti-Trump liberals do when they are caught, Henson tried to downplay the severity of his disparaging comment about Barron and the boy’s parentage. But he just ended up making the situation worse for him.
Henson deleted the original tweet, but then he accused others who were calling him out of overreacting. “With respect, I think you dissecting it is the issue,” he said. “The joke was aimed at Trump and the mere mention of Barron’s name doesn’t mean it’s at his expense.”
This did not satisfy people. Several Twitter said that Henson’s explanation was not good enough, with many coming to the conclusion that bringing up a president’s child negatively, regardless of the context, is bad form and should be always be avoided. The Hollywood left doesn’t care.
