BREAKING: Top Trump Aide Confirms Run For Office – Fans Cheering

Former Trump spokesperson and aide Katrina Pierson has decided to run for the House seat vacated by Rep. Ron Wright (R-TX) after he died of the coronavirus last month, sources say, and she will likely get the endorsement of former President Donald Trump when she announces her candidacy.

She will not be the only Republican candidate for the seat. Wright’s widow Susan will also run for the seat.

Other candidates include Sery Kim, who had a position in Trump’s administration, and State Rep. Jake Ellzey, a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will also run. Ellzey nearly beat Wright in 2018 for the seat.

The candidates have until Wednesday to file paperwork to run for the seat.

Wright’s former district has typically voted for Republican candidates, but the margins have been decreasing. In 2020, Trump won the district over Biden by only three points, 51 to 48.
