Facebook seemed to follow Twitter’s suit by suspending Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s page after Twitter permanently banned the congresswoman for repeatedly spreading “COVID disinformation.”
“Who appointed Twitter and Facebook to be the authorities of information and misinformation?” Greene said on Gab.com, a platform that promotes free speech. “When Big Tech decides what political speech of elected Members is accepted and what’s not then they are working against our government and against the interest of our people.”
In the Facebook post that preceded her suspension, Greene said that COVID had brought radical changes to society.
“After 2020, we crossed into a new time dating method. BC and AC. Before Covid. After Covid,” Greene wrote. “We are moving into the third year AC.”
Greene had a huge social media following, with over half a million Twitter followers prior to her ban.
