Democrat Representative and current Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) chairwoman Sheila Jackson-Lee has been named in a lawsuit alleging that Jackson-Lee fired a staffer because of rape accusations.
The plaintiff, “Jane Doe” claims that a high-level CBCF employee raped her in 2015 while she was an intern at the foundation.
The lawsuit names Jackson-Lee’s office and the CBCF as a defendant. Doe alleges that she was dismissed in retaliation to her filing the lawsuit against CBCF.
The plaintiff argues that prior to filing the lawsuit, there was no indication that Jackson-Lee’s office was considering firing her. Jackson-Lee has a history of being one of the “worst bosses in Washington.” This revelation takes that title to a whole new level.
