BREAKING: They’re Calling It QUITS, GOP Cheering – No More…

Planned Parenthood is shutting down all operations in Texas after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton threatened them with criminal prosecution following the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

In an opinion issued after the Supreme Court’s decision, Paxton said, “Some prosecutors may choose to immediately pursue criminal prosecutions based on violations of Texas abortion prohibitions predating Roe that were never repealed by the Texas Legislature. Although these statutes were unenforceable while Roe was on the books, they are still Texas law. Under these pre-Roe statutes, abortion providers could be criminally liable for providing abortions starting today.”

Planned Parenthood got the message and Jeffrey Hons, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood South Texas, said, “We must pause abortion services at our separate organizations while our legal teams continue to review today’s devastating ruling and how it impacts and triggers existing Texas laws, including total abortion bans.”

Attorney General Paxton is no friend of abortion providers and he made that clear by saying, “Texas law in a post-Roe world has already been written. Now that the Supreme Court has finally overturned Roe, I will do everything in my power to protect the unborn and uphold the state laws duly enacted by the Texas Legislature.”

Other states are sure to follow in Texas’s footsteps and Planned Parenthood will likely find itself forced out of any red state.

The battle over abortion is far from over as now the nation will be divided between abortion-friendly states and states that heavily restrict or outright ban the procedure entirely.
