The White House issued a statement that confirmed a mission directed by President Donald Trump last month that killed two terrorists in Yemen.
According to the statement, “At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation in Yemen that successfully eliminated Qasim al-Rimi, a founder and the leader of al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and a deputy to al-Qa’ida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.”
Both individuals are high ranking and the killings send the message that President Trump is willing to fight. That’s a message that terrorists the world over have gotten loud and clear recently.
President Trump has become fully committed to ridding the Middle East of dangerous terrorists. In fact, Trump has been on a killing spree since October.
The actions of Trump stand in stark contrast to the past administration’s efforts in the Middle East.
No longer is the United States willing to tolerate terrorists. That’s good news for all Americans.
