While average American families try to figure out how to cope with huge increases in food and gas prices as well as record-breaking inflation not seen in over 40 years, Vice President Kamala Harris spent time in Los Angeles recently partying with Hollywood elites and eating at upscale restaurants.
Harris was in town for the Summit of the Americas, but took some extra time to attend a dinner party at the home of CAA’s Bryan Lourd and husband, Bruce Bozzi that also included Kevin Huvane, Barry Diller, mega-TV producer Greg Berlanti and his husband, soccer star Robbie Rogers; filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson; West Wing star Allison Janney, and Maya Rudolph, who has often played Harris on Saturday Night Live.
Sources said the events might be Harris’s way of paying back Hollywood power brokers for supporting her political career.
It does come across as tone-deaf to live such a lavish lifestyle when most Americans are struggling to afford food and gas.
But most of Harris’s vice presidency has been tone-deaf, so I guess we shouldn’t really be surprised.
