Activist and former Afghan judge Najla Ayoubi accused the Taliban of setting a woman on fire because they didn’t like her cooking.
Ayoubi fled the country as the Taliban took over the government in the absence of a U.S. military presence, but reported on what she heard was happening there.
“They are forcing people to give them food and cook them food. A woman was put on fire because she was accused of bad cooking for Taliban fighters,” said Ayoubi, reporting that the incident took place Thursday in the northern part of the country.
She also reported that women are being forced into sex slavery in surrounding countries.
The Taliban have begun going house to house, and are reportedly killing people with Bible apps on their phones.
