President Joe Biden tested negative again for the coronavirus on Wednesday after having contact on Friday with a mid-level staffer who developed mild COVID symptoms on Sunday and tested positive on Monday.
Biden went to a supply-chain event on Wednesday without getting the results from the test, he told reporters.
Biden and the staffer had both had three doses of coronavirus vaccine prior to the symptoms and exposure.
Despite his negative tests, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeatedly described him as “asymptomatic,” which is typically how you refer to someone who has tested positive but doesn’t have any symptoms of the virus.
Biden also had a cough during a speech to the American people on Tuesday, despite the negative tests.
