The Texas affiliate of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) has become the 23rd state to withdraw from the national organization following a letter it wrote to the Biden justice department requesting them to investigate concerned parents as domestic terrorists.

The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) cited “operational deficiencies and lack of internal controls and processes within NSBA” in connection with the letter.

The NSBA also admitted that it colluded with the White House in its requests, which led Attorney General Merrick Garland to use the FBI and other counterterrorism tools against some parents.

“We have been intently waiting for the release of this independent investigation for nearly two months,” TASB Executive Director Dan Troxell said. “With this report now available, it’s clear that NSBA’s internal processes and controls do not meet the good governance practices that TASB expects and requires in a member organization.”
