The state of Texas has started to build the border wall that President Joe Biden canceled on his first day in office, using materials the administration abandoned and land local ranchers have allowed them to use.
“We are building the exact same wall,” Governor Greg Abbott said in an interview.
Instead of having to use eminent domain to build the wall, Abbott said the landowners are giving them easements and allowing them to build on their land without a fight.
“Texas is able to build the wall at a faster pace and a lower cost than even what President Trump could do,” Abbott said.
Abbott also said Texas is the first state to build a border wall. “Biden chose not to build the wall,” Abbott said. “We found a way.”
