Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), with the support of conservative activists, is launching a campaign to fight back against the Democrat efforts to pass H.R. 1.
As part of that campaign, Cruz and his supporters are holding a rally at the West Virginia state capitol against the so-called “Corrupt Politicians Act.” Before a review of the bill before the Senate Rules Committee, the rally will take place and aims to swing the vote of Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), a moderate Democrat who could break the 50-50 split in the Senate.
Senator Cruz explained his stance on H.R. 1 and why Americans should be terrified of it. Cruz said, “It is the single most dangerous piece of legislation before Congress. What I call H.R.1 is the ‘Corrupt Politicians Act.’ […] It’s the number one bill. It’s not about COVID; it’s not about vaccinations; it’s not about getting people back to work; it’s not about getting kids back to school. It is about ensuring that Democrats remain in power and control for the next 100 years. It is a radical bill. What does it do? It federalizes all elections.”
Not only will it federalize the elections, but it will also implement policies that destroy the integrity of our election. Cruz continued saying, “It strikes down every election reform protection at the state level. So photo ID laws — right now in a lot of states you’ve got to use photo ID to vote — ‘The Corrupt Politician Act’ strikes that down. It sets up automatic voter registration, which would result in millions of illegal immigrants, and criminals, and felons being able to vote.”
It is absolutely critical that H.R. 1 be stopped and the message sent that Americans will not look kindly on the attempts of the Democrat party to ensure their stranglehold of power in the coming years.
Hopefully, Senator Cruz will succeed in his objective to swing Senator Manchin’s vote and preserve our elections’ integrity.
