The U.S. Supreme Court just said ‘no’ and Democrats are absolutely furious. They never expected this to happen — one of their major plans is toast.
“The Supreme Court sent three climate change cases back to lower courts on Monday after it handed a narrow win to big oil companies last week,” reported the Washington Examiner.
Back in 2018, the city of Baltimore had filed a complaint against oil companies, such as BP and ExxonMobile, attempting to force them “to contribute to local infrastructure costs related to climate change.
Baltimore’s claim was not successful. Now, a majority opinion written by Justice Neil Gorsuch has kicked several cases back to the appeals courts following a ruling that Democrats and the Biden administration aren’t happy about.
Ultimately, the “climate change” agenda pushed by the far-left — which has more to do with partisan political posturing than real science — is in jeopardy, at least within the court system.
So much so, in fact, that Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) has called for the Biden administration to reverse “the positions it has taken in those lawsuits,” referring to the Trump DOJ’s pro-energy positions that have helped to prevent unnecessary litigation.
