The Supreme Court just kicked him out permanently. He is finished and there’s nothing that can be done about it. People are stunned by this development, but the decision has been made.
“The Illinois Supreme Court disbarred former state Gov. Rod Blagojevich months after he was released from prison by President Trump,” reported the Washington Examiner. However, apparently “Blago” was fine with it.
He said: “Imagine yourself sitting on a plane, and then the pilot announces before takeoff that he hasn’t flown in 25 years. Wouldn’t you want to get off that plane? I don’t want to hurt anybody.”
Ultimately, it appears that Blagojevich is just happy to be out of prison after his 14-year sentence was nearly cut in half by President Donald Trump. He had already served eight years before his commutation back in February.
Trump hasn’t used his pardon powers often, however, there’s a good chance that he might issue one more pardon before the year is up. General Michael Flynn’s case may have been dropped by the DOJ, but it isn’t over just yet.
“Judge Emmet Sullivan appointed a former federal judge to argue against the Justice Department’s request to drop the case against Flynn in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.,” reported CNBC this week.
