The U.S. Supreme Court just gave President Donald Trump a massive win and Democrats are absolutely furious. They never expected one of their anti-American plans to be destroyed forever.
Writing for the 7-2 majority, Justice Samuel Alito — of the court’s reliable constitutionalists — declared that an illegal alien “only those rights regarding admission that Congress has provided by statute.”
What does this mean, exactly? It means that the admission and deportation of non-citizens, specifically those who enter unlawfully, is determined by the law, not invented rights by a federal court.
The end result: Deportations by the Department of Homeland Security can’t be delayed by activist judges attempting to rewrite the law from the bench to serve a left-wing political agenda.
“Today’s decision will allow expedited removal to work as intended, and prevent the further clogging of a removal system already severely overburdened due to decades of neglect,” said Dale Wilcox with the Immigration Reform Law Institute.
Of course, not everyone is happy with the decision. “The Constitution weeps,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick with the American Immigration Council, claiming that due process has been “ripped apart.”
