The Supreme Court on Monday declined to block a New York vaccine mandate for health care workers even though it didn’t give a religious exemption.
The majority of those who want to have a religious exemption from the mandate oppose the vaccines’ use of fetal stem cells from abortions in the vaccines.
Governor Kathy Hochul (D) stripped the religious exemption from former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s mandate.
In a 3-justice dissent from the majority opinion, Neil Gorsuch wrote that the decision was a mistake “seemingly based on nothing more than fear and anger at those who harbor unpopular religious beliefs.”
It seems like a clear-cut case of religious discrimination to me.
