Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said on Thursday during an Alabama radio interview that the person who leaked the Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe V. Wade should be prosecuted for “inciting violence.”
“You know, I think the person who leaked the Supreme Court document is inciting this violence,” he said. “It’s illegal what they did. It’s against their contract. It’s against the bar oath.”
He added that he thinks they should be disbarred for their actions, which most think were intended to produce an uproar that might lead one of the majority justices to change their opinion and uphold Roe V. Wade instead.
This has not occurred, because the Supreme Court takes its responsibility seriously and does not act on people’s political whims.
He said if one of the justices is hurt or killed, it will be the leaker’s responsibility.
