A new poll has found that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is the most popular member of the Supreme Court in the eyes of the Republican party.
A poll conducted by the Economist and YouGov showed that Thomas holds a 59% approval rating within the Party. Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh follow close behind with 55% and 53% favorability ratings.
Justice Thomas has been a significant figure on the court since his appointment by President George H. W. Bush in 1991.
Thomas’s significance has only grown as the conservative side of the Supreme Court has become relatively young and the leadership of Thomas will be critical in the coming years.
With Democrats in control of the White House and Congress, the Supreme Court is the last opposition that exists to keep Democrats in check. Thankfully, Justice Thomas is ready to protect the constitution against the onslaught of progressive goals that Democrats are pursuing.
Justice Thomas is 72-years-old and still has a significant chunk of his career ahead of him. It is likely that he will be looked to as a leader by the younger conservative justices in the next few years.
