An arrest was just made after a key witness in the trial of former Dallas police officer Amber Guyer was found dead. Joshua Brown was shot and killed a mere 10 days after he testified in Guyer’s trial.
“Jacquerious Mitchell, Michael Mitchell and Thaddeous Green were indicted for the shooting death of Brown on October 4,” according to reports. “The indictments say the three men attempted to rob him.”
Given the nature of this case, it has captured the attention of the nation — with Guyer clearly remorseful, confessing that she mistakenly walked into the wrong appartment and thought she found an intruder.
After a brief exchange of words, Guyer shot and killed Botham Jean, thinking he had broken into her apartment and was a threat. Brown became a witness in her trial since he lived across the hall from her.
Providing an explanation of the incident, he said it sounded like two people were meeting by “surprise” and he heard gunshots “right after,” then he saw Guyer leave the apartment while making a frantic call.
Brown said Guyer was “crying, explaining what happened, what she thought happened, saying she came into the wrong apartment.” Ten days later, Brown was murdered.
