Political activist Stacy Abrams was just completely humiliated. The former candidate for Georgia governor could be finished. This is stunning.
“Republican strategists in Georgia announced the launch of a group called ‘Stop Stacey’ on Monday,” reported Breitbart News. The goal is to “prepare for a potential rematch” between Abrams and Gov. Brian Kemp (R).
Democrats are feeling confident after their recent victories in the Senate runoff elections — Jon Ossoff (D) defeated Sen. David Perdue (R) and Raphael Warnock (D) defeated Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) in two narrow contests.
But this could be a different ballgame. Abrams has spent years now refusing to concede her loss to Kemp, alleging voter suppression and even fraud as the culprit. It is interesting how Democrats can make this claim without proof.
Talk about a double-standard. At any rate, we could be shaping up for another high-dollar race in Georgia — the new “purple” battleground state for the time being. Both candidates will bring their A-game.
Kemp should win re-election quite easily, however. Republican voters are largely still backing him and he has been a steady, consistent governor who did not bow to liberal hysteria over the COVID-19 virus and kept the economy open.
