In a span of only two days, 15 people were shot in Chigago, a Democrat-run city led by Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D).
Three of those shot died of their wounds Tuesday and Wednesday, including a pedestrian who was shot along with five other people when the shooter exited his car and began firing at those on the street at the scene of a funeral.
Another pedestrian was fatally shot in a different shooting, and the other fatality was a man sitting in his car.
These shootings happened just days after 26 people were shot on Mother’s Day weekend, including a 14-year-old boy who died of his wounds.
Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world, but yet more than 1,100 people have been shot there in less than five months this year. Clearly gun control does not work.
