There were another 15 shootings and two fatalities in Chicago over the weekend in Democrat-run Chicago under Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
The two fatalities occurred in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday, when a 26-year-old and 64-year-old man were killed.
The 64-year-old, identified as Larry Purnell, was reportedly not the target of the shooting but was in his yard minding his own business when he was shot.
Almost 200 people have been killed so far this year in the city, with more than seven months of the year left to go.
Last weekend, there were 32 shootings and 7 fatalities.
